When we asked April about this black and white enlargement we printed, she shared this amazing story. “This is a picture of my grandparents at a cafe they owned in Watonga, Oklahoma. It was taken in the 50s. They named the restaurant after my dad; it was called Don’s Cafe. I have this piece up in my kitchen and I really love it. I especially love how my grandfather C.V. Stutters has his head cocked. It captures his personality. I don’t have many pictures of my grandmother Nella McKinney Stutters and I think that this captures her sweet personality too. It was awesome to be able to blow the picture up and have it on a piece of canvas. I plan to give it to my cousin’s daughter in my will. I also plan to have some photographs that I have taken on various trips done so that I can hang them in my living room. Thanks for your hard work on this.”
